‘D’ Type Watertube boiler is the most common design – consisting of a Steam and water drum located above the mud drum – a series of asymmetrical tubes connect the system in the shape of a D.
'A' Type has a steam drum and two mud drums connected by a series of symmetrical tubes. Combustion material passes through the central area and the water and steam is heated
'O' Type watertube boilers consist of a steam and water drum and a single mud drum connected by symmetrical water tubes the combustion materials pass through the center of the system.
